Privacy Policy for LearnTech Games and Chess Master Quest

Effective Date: May 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how LearnTech Games collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use `learntechgames.com` and Chess Master Quest on iOS, Android, web, Windows, and other supported platforms.

1. Who We Are

LearnTech Games is the publisher of Chess Master Quest and the operator of `learntechgames.com`.

Contact email: learntechgames@gmail.com

2. Information We Collect

Local device data

The game stores local profile data, save files, settings, preferences, progression, and related gameplay information on your device. This can include items such as player name, avatar selection, Elo, unlocks, currencies, and other save-state data.

Authentication and account data

On supported builds, the app may automatically create an anonymous Firebase authentication ID so that cloud-linked features can function later without friction.

If you choose to create or link an account, we may collect the identifiers needed to authenticate you, such as your email address, provider-specific account identifier, display name, or Sign in with Apple relay email information, depending on the sign-in method you use.

Cloud save data

If cloud save is active, we may store your serialized save data and related metadata in Cloud Firestore. This may include your save data JSON, save version, player name, avatar ID, Elo, profile ID, checksum, and timestamps used for syncing and conflict resolution.

Purchase and entitlement data

If you make an in-app purchase, Apple or Google processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive and process purchase-related data such as product ID, purchase ID, verification data, platform, app user ID, and premium entitlement status to unlock or verify premium content.

Analytics and crash data

On supported mobile builds, the app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. These tools may collect app events, device/app identifiers, approximate usage information, crash logs, technical diagnostics, and similar telemetry to help us improve stability and product quality.

Push notification data

If you allow push notifications on iOS or Android, we may request notification permission and store your Firebase Cloud Messaging token, platform, and related timestamps. We may also store in-app notification inbox items associated with your account.

Website and communication data

When you visit `learntechgames.com`, our hosting and web infrastructure providers may receive standard technical request information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and access timestamps.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address and the content of your inquiry.

External links on our website or in the game, including links to Steam, YouTube, Apple, or Google services, are governed by those third parties' own privacy policies.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us run the product, including authentication, cloud storage, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, hosting, and payment infrastructure.

Examples may include:

  • Apple, Google, or other platform providers for sign-in, purchases, app distribution, and device-level services;
  • hosting and infrastructure providers used for our website and online features.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or our services, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use third-party advertising SDKs inside Chess Master Quest.

5. Data Retention

Local save data remains on your device until you remove it, clear app storage, uninstall the app, or overwrite the relevant profile.

Cloud account and cloud save data may be retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backup, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or system integrity.

Crash logs, analytics records, and server logs may also be kept for limited periods according to the retention settings of our service providers and our operational needs.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Account choices

You can choose whether to link a guest session to email, Google, or Apple sign-in when those options are available.

Cloud and local data

If you do not want cloud-linked features, you can avoid linking an account where the product allows it. Local game data can be removed through the app, by clearing app storage, or by uninstalling the app, depending on platform behavior.

Push notifications

You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.

Account deletion and privacy requests

The app includes an in-app account deletion option for linked accounts. You may also contact us at learntechgames@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to legal and technical limitations.

Depending on your location, you may have privacy rights under laws such as GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA. We will review and respond to applicable requests in accordance with relevant law.
